Starbucks is apparently testing a new concept for their coffee houses in Seattle. The new stores will not only serve locally roasted coffee and a wide variety of tea, but will also incorporate a beer and wine selection into the menu.
The Starbucks website calls the interior space of the new coffeehouses, “Reminiscent of a European mercantile” and says that the inspiration for the new interiors came from the original Starbucks location at Seattle’s Pike Place Market that opened 38 years ago. They say that the materials used on the interiors are “Eclectic and raw, featuring locally sourced and reused materials that are one-of-a-kind”. You can see the press release at: news.starbucks.com
